We were in Melbourne running a conference which went for five days, but the committee made the decision to have the trade displays pack up after two days. This has been largely much appreciated by the exhibitors, who figure that if they can't see who they want to see in 2 days, they're not trying hard enough.
This decision has saved everyone a lot of money - we don't need to hold the space at the venue for the whole five days, and the exhibitors can go back to work and do something more productive than sitting on a trade stand for four days straight (when they've already seen everyone they want to see). Any other thoughts on maximising value for Exhibitors? J ;-)
